Review: Sally Hansen Hair Remover Wax Strip Kit

I just bought these wax strips at CVS and I’m here to share my opinion on them!

I haven’t tried the strips on anywhere else but my eyebrows and upper lip. I used the small strips but they were still too big so I got scissors and cut them to fit the size I needed. I followed the direction and geez!!! These work!! I have tried so many different at-home “wax” products but none of them worked for me. I’m shocked! I feel like I just got waxed at the salon!

I did my upper lip in one go on each side and it got all the hair on the first time! For the eyebrows I had to be very careful on how I placed them because I didn’t want to rip off a big chunk of my eyebrow. I took my time placing one strip at a time to make sure I didn’t place it anywhere I didn’t want it to go. I’m so excited! These things work! Plus, they are double sided so you get more use out of the strips.

If anyone else tries these out, let me know if you like them!

I got these at CVS for around $7! A lot cheaper than getting waxed at the salon! You get a lot of uses out of the strips provided.

My Body Skincare Routine

Hey everyone! I’m back with another post! Summer is coming up soon and I’m starting to prep my skin for summer! I do this routine once a week! I don’t exfoliate every day. On the days I don’t exfoliate, I just shower, use the loofah with a body wash, and use the body butter after I’m done the shower.

First, I use this dry brush to get rid of dead skin cells. If you haven’t heard of a dry brush before you should totally give it a try! A dry brush is a brush you use on your skin before you shower. No water, no soap, nothing needed to “dry brush your skin”… just gently brush upwards to circulate blood flow. The dry brush I have is from ecotools. I bought mine at Walmart for about $5.

Second, I hop in the shower and I put on my exfoliating gloves. I got mine at Walmart for about $2.

Third step I do is scoop up some of my sugar scrub into my glove and I run the scrub all over my body focusing on areas where I have dry skin the most (my legs).

After I use the sugar scrub by Raw Sugar, I rinse it off and then I go about using body wash using a loofah. I bought the sugar scrub at Target!

After I hop out of the shower, I pat dry my body and then immediately put on a body butter by Raw Sugar which I purchased at Target.

That’s it! That’s my body skin care routine! Remember, don’t go too rough with the dry brush and exfoliating gloves (it can irritate your skin if you do it too rough!)

Thanks for reading my post and I hope you enjoyed it! Let me know if you try this routine!

Are These Hyped Up Beauty Products Worth it or Not?

MORPHE 35O Nature Glow Palette: Worth it? or Not? I would have to say WORTH IT! The colors are so pigmented(even the glittery ones) and creamy. Only downside to this palette is that there is no mirror. It doesn’t bother me too much but it would’ve been a little bit more convenient to have a mirror on the palette itself so I don’t have to look in my bathroom mirror to put on the eyeshadows. For the price and the amount of colors you get, you can’t go wrong with this one!

Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion Original: Worth it or not? I would say worth it! I have oily eyelids and a lot of the times, my eyeshadow or eyeliners always get smudged because of my oily eyelids but I have noticed that this eyeshadow primer helps keep everything in place where it should be! Don’t let the size of the tube fool you, a little bit goes a LONG way!

Benefit Hoola Bronzer Powder: Worth it or not? Worth it! The intensity is buildable and it’s a great color! It doesn’t make my face looks muddy either. Some bronzers make my face look muddy but, this one doesn’t.

Anastasia DipBrow: Worth it or Not? In my opinion, NOT. I feel like this is everyone’s holy grail eyebrow product but I find that the dip brows makes my brows too unnatural! I like my brows to appear a little more natural so I opt for eyebrow pencils like the Anastasia Eyebrow Definer!

Too Faced Born This Way foundation: Worth it or not? Worth it! This foundation gives such a nice finish and doesn’t make me look oily and no dry patches show up. The foundation doesn’t cake up even though it’s a high coverage foundation. The foundation line also has a wide range of shades! I’ve bought two so far! One for when I’m more tan (summer) and another for when I’m not tan (Fall,Winter, & Spring)

How to get rid of chapped lips for a better application of lip products

Have you ever put on a lip product; looked in the mirror and saw a bunch of dry skin on your lips? Your answer was probably yes. We have all been there once. Nothing is more upsetting and annoying than putting on your favorite lip product and having it look awful because of the dry skin on your lips. Here are a few tips for a better lip application and result!

Exfoliating is the key to getting a super smooth and easy application for your lip product. I use Lush’s Mint Jewels Lip Scrub before I put on my lip product. The great thing about this lip scrub is that after you use it on your lips, you can lick the product right off! (It tastes good, trust me.) Also, if you don’t have a lip scrub, you can make one yourself! Just get a tiny container, put some SUGAR in it and then some coconut oil! If you don’t have any of those ingredients, just use your toothbrush! After brushing your teeth, use your toothbrush to gently take away all the dry skin on your lips! Make sure you don’t go too rough! I did that once, and I bled a little. After doing any of those methods, apply some lip balm onto your lips! VOILA, no more dry skin! After, you can apply your lip products on! It really works! Exfoliating your lips in the key to getting the perfect application.
